台湾中央流行疫情指揮センターは、本日6月08日、「新たに増えたCOVID-19確診症例は80,223例（うち本土症例80,195例、輸入症例28例）；更に、確診症例中では、159例の死亡者が出た」と発表。
指揮センターは、「本日、新たに増えた国内症例80195例は、5歳未満から90歳以上の男性37611例、女性42550例、性別調査中34例だ。患者分布は、台中市（11587例）、新台北市（11443例）、高雄市（11048例）、桃園市（8039例）、台南市（7054例）、彰化県（5582例）、台北市（5531例）、屏東県（3236例）、新竹県（2293例）、新竹市（1806例）、雲林県（1778例）、南投県（1705例）、苗栗県（1687例）、宜蘭県（1420例）、嘉義県（1367例）、花蓮県（1223例）、基隆市（1115例）、台東県（933例）、嘉義市（878例）、澎湖県（314例）、金門県（99例）、連江県（57例）；関連の調査が進行中である」としている。
指揮センターは、「本日新たに増えた死亡例159例は、本土症例で、20代から90歳以上の男性105人、女性54人となる。全員が重症患者で157例は慢性疾患を抱えており、71例はワクチン未接種（45％）であった。彼らは4月30日から6月05日の間に確診され、5月15日から6月5日の間に死亡した。詳細は添付リストを参照されたい」と説明した。

The Central Epidemic Command Center announced today (June 08) that there were 80,223 newly confirmed cases of COVID-19 in China, including 80,195 local and 28 imported cases; further, there were 159 deaths.
The command center stated that the new 80195 local cases today are 37611 males and 42550 females, (34 are under investigation of gender), aged between under 5 years old and over 90s. The distribution of cases is Taichung City (11587 cases), New Taipei City (11443 cases), Kaohsiung City (11048 cases), Taoyuan City (8039 cases), Tainan City (7054 cases), Changhua County (5582 cases), Taipei City (5531 cases), Pingtung County (3236 cases), Hsinchu County (2203 cases), Hsinchu City (1806 cases), Yunlin County (1778 cases), Nantou County (1705 cases), Miaoli County (1687 cases), Yilan County (1420 cases), Chiayi County (1367 cases), Hualien County (1223 cases), Keelung City (1115 cases), Taitung County (933 cases), Chiayi City (878 cases), Penghu County (314 cases), Jinmen County (99 cases), Lianjiang County (57 cases). The related epidemic investigation is ongoing.
