新疆ウィグル自治区衛生健康委員会は、2020年08月16日0時 ～ 24時の間に、新疆ウィグル自治区（生産建設兵団含む）で 新たに確診症例0例（ウルムチ市0例）、無症状感染者1例（ウルムチ市1例）；治癒退院確診患者23例（うちウルムチ市23例）、医学観察解除された無症状感染者2例（ウルムチ市2例）； 危篤から普通型に転じたもの2例、重症から普通型に転じたもの3例が報告されたと発表した。
2020年08月16日24時時点で、新疆 （生産建設兵団を 含む）における現有確診患者数は378例（危篤7例、重症23例）でその内訳は378例全員がウルムチ市； 現有無症状感染者は127例、その内訳はウルムチ市126例、昌吉回族自治州1例（ウルムチ市からの輸入症例）；9,446人が今なお医学観察を受けている。

From 0:00 to 24:00, August 16, 2020, Health Commission of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region announced that Xinjiang (including the Production and Construction Corps) reported 0 newly diagnosed cases of novel coronavirus pneumonia; 1 newly added asymptomatic patients of which all of the diagnosed / asymptomatic cases are from Urumqi; 23 newly cured and discharged cases (23 in Urumqi) and 2 asymptomatic patients are newly lifted from their medical observation of which all are from Urumqi City; 2 critical cases were converted to normal case, 3 severe cases were converted to normal case on the day.
As of 24:00 on August 16, there are currently 378 diagnosed cases (7 critical cases, 23 severe cases), of which al the cases are in Urumqi in Xinjiang (including the Production and Construction Corps); Currently a total of 127 asymptomatic patients, of which 126 are in Urumqi; There are still 9,446 peoples who are under medical observation.

新疆维吾尔自治区卫生健康委最新通报，8月16日0时至24时，新疆维吾尔自治区（含新疆生产建设兵团）报告新增新冠肺炎确诊病例0例，新增无症状感染者1例，在乌鲁木齐市；新增治愈出院确诊病例23例，无症状感染者解除医学观察2例，均在乌鲁木齐市；危重症转普通型2例，重症转普通型3例。
截至8月16日24时，新疆（含兵团）现有确诊病例378例（危重症7例、重症23例），均为乌鲁木齐市病例；现有无症状感染者127例，其中乌鲁木齐市126例、昌吉州1例（乌鲁木齐市输入）；尚有9446人正在接受医学观察。
