新疆ウィグル自治区衛生健康委員会は、2020年08月02日0時 ～ 24時の間に、新疆ウィグル自治区（生産建設兵団含む）で、 新規確診症例28例； 新増無症状感染者は8例（全てウルムチ市）； 新たに治癒退院した確診患者は7例、新たに医学観察を解除された無症状感染者は4例（全てウルムチ市）； 重症から普通型になった患者は1例だったと報告した。
2020年08月02日24時時点で、新疆 （生産建設兵団を 含む）における、現有確診患者数は590例（危篤5例、重症21例）となっているが その内訳は、ウルムチ市586例、カシュガル地区2例（ウルムチ市からの輸入症例1例、ウルムチ市の流行に関連した患者1例）、昌吉州1例（ウルムチ市からの輸入症例）、生産建設兵団1例となり； 現有無症状感染者は116例だがその内訳はウルムチ市114例、昌吉州1例（ウルムチ市からの輸入症例）、生産建設兵団1例； 今なお医学観察を受けているものは14,939人となっている。

From 0:00 to 24:00, August 02, 2020, Health Commission of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region announced that Xinjiang (including the Production and Construction Corps) reported 28 newly diagnosed cases of novel coronavirus pneumonia; 8 newly added asymptomatic patients of which all are from Urumqi; 7 newly cured and discharged cases, 4 asymptomatic patients are newly lifted from their medical observation of which all are from Urumqi City; 1 severe cases are converted to normal type. On the same day.
