国家衛生計画生育委員会発の流行情報によると、4月5日17時から4月6日17時までに、全国で新たに2名がヒト感染H7N9鳥インフルエンザ患者と診断された。2人の新たな患者はいずれも上海市で見つかっており、現在積極的治療が行われている。 全ての濃厚接触者に異常はみられていない。 2013年4日6日17時までのところ、全国で18名が確定診断され、うち6人が亡くなっている。
発表によれば、これまでの患者は上海（8人、うち死亡4人）、江蘇（6人）、安徽（1人）、浙江（3人、うち死亡2人）の4省市で見つかっている。 確診された患者間には疫学的関係は見つかっておらず、患者の密接接触者は全て等しく医学観察措置が取られているが、異常な状況は出ていない。 これまでのところ、流行は拡大状態にあるが、ヒトヒト感染は見つかっていない。
6日午前、国家衛生計生委は、ヒト感染H7N9鳥インフルエンザ連合予防管理活動対策会議を開催し、流行状況や専門家グループの意見と予防管理活動の進展などについて通知、各メンバーからの活動報告を聴取、感染源のトレースを強化し、流行状況のモニタリング強化、患者治療への専念、積極的な情報公開などについて研究した。

6日上午，国家卫生计生委组织召开人感染H7N9禽流感疫情联防联控工作机制会议，通报了疫情情况、专家组意见和防控工作进展，听取了各成员单位工作报告，就加强疫情溯源、强化疫情监测、做好病例救治、主动公开信息等工作进行了研究。
此外，卫生计生委选派了中西医临床专家赴疫情发生地指导患者临床救治工作，对医疗机构发热门诊、疫情报告、消毒等防控工作进行监督检查，并启动向世界卫生组织流感参比和研究合作中心分让毒株的程序。
上海新增2例病例具体情况
据上海市卫生部门通报，截止到6日18时30分，该市新确诊二例人感染H7N9禽流感病例。截止到目前，上海共发现8例人感染H7N9禽流感确诊病例，其中死亡4例，另外4例正在救治之中。
