現在、臨床試験が行われているのは、Ad5（アデノウイルスベクター5型Ad5-nCoV）だが、軍事科学院軍事医学研究院生物工程研究所の陳 薇院士や江蘇省疾病予防管理センター副主任の朱鳳才教授ら専門家が協力して完成したものだ。これは、第一相の研究結果の拡張版で、ランセットは武漢の単一施設で進められた第二期RCT臨床試験の結果を伝えている。
