衛生健康委員会は 06月16日、2020年4月度の感染症月報を2か月遅れで発表。
2020年04月 （2020年04月01日00：00 ～ 04月30日 24：00）内の、全国（台湾香港マカオは含まず、以下同）の法定伝染病例は367,872例（宮本注： 前月は324,803例； 43,069人増に転）、死亡者数は1,780例（前月は2,024例； 246人減）であった。。
うち、
A（甲）類伝染病では、発症ゼロ、死亡ゼロ。
B（乙）類伝染病では、SARS、ポリオ、ヒト感染高病原性鳥インフルエンザ、ジフテリアとH7N9型鳥インフルエンザで発症・死亡なし以外、残22種については、発症281,913例 （前月は243,165例： 38,748人増）、死亡1,778例（前月は2,019例： 241人減）が報告されている。報告されている発病データの病種ワースト5は、ウィルス性肝炎、肺結核、梅毒、淋病とエイズ （淋病とエイズで順位が入れ替わった）で、B類伝染病報告総数の96%を占めていた。

2020年04月01日から04月30日24時までの間、国家衛生健康委は31の省（自治区、直轄市）及び新疆生産建設兵団からの新型コロナウィルス肺炎患者995例、死者31人という報告を受領している。
2020年4月17日、武漢市新型コロナウィルス肺炎予防管理指揮部は武漢市における新型コロナウィルス肺炎の確診患者数と死亡者数を訂正したとの通報があり、4月16日24時までの時点で、武漢市の累計確診患者数は50,333例（レビューにより325例を追加）し、累計死者数を3,869例（1,290例追加）となった。
同期、C（丙）類伝染病では、フィラリア症では発症・死亡ともにゼロだったが、その他10種の伝染病では、発症数は85,95例（前月は81,638例で4,321人増に転）、死亡は2例（前月は5例で3人減）であった。

其中，甲类传染病无发病、死亡报告。乙类传染病中传染性非典型肺炎、脊髓灰质炎、人感染高致病性禽流感、白喉和人感染H7N9禽流感无发病、死亡报告，其余22种乙类传染病共报告发病281913例，死亡1778人，报告发病数居前5位的病种依次为病毒性肝炎、肺结核、梅毒、淋病以及艾滋病，占乙类传染病报告病例总数的96%。4月1日0时至4月30日24时，根据国家卫生健康委网站，全国31个省（自治区、直辖市）和新疆生产建设兵团报告新型冠状病毒肺炎确诊病例 995例，死亡31人。
