疾病管制署（以下疾管署）は本日（12月2日）、「2025年12月1日の時点で、インフルエンザの公費ワクチン接種者数は約630万人回、COVID-19の公費接種者数は約148万人回となった。
うち、ノババックス社製JN.1ワクチン接種者は2.1万人回となっている。年末の集まりやイベントでは病気の感染リスクが高まることがあり、ワクチンを接種しても十分な予防効果を発揮するまでに約 2 週間を要するため、接種対象者はできるだけ早く接種するよう推奨する。
疾管署の監視データによれば、今年第48週（11月23日～29日）のインフルエンザ様外来・救急受診者数は87,162人回で、前週と同様のものだった；
更に直近7日間に合併症併発による重症患者は24例（H1N1型3例、H3N2型20例、未分類A型1例）、および死者は9例（H1N1型3例、H3N2型6例）出ている。実験室のモニタリングデータによると、社会で現在流行っている呼吸器病原体は主にインフルエンザウイルスで、A/H3N2が最も多く、これにB型とA/H1N1型が次いでいる。
今年（2025～2026年）のインフルエンザシーズンでは、重症患者が計349例（H1N1型107例、H3N2型235例、未分類のA型3例、B型4例）発生しており、死亡者は53例（H1N1型19例、H3N2型33例、B型1例）だったが、重症患者の大部分は65歳以上（64%）と慢性疾患の既往歴のある人（83%）が多くを占め、93％が今シーズンのインフルエンザワクチン未接種であった。
世界的なインフルエンザの活動は上昇しており、A/H3N2が主な流行株となっており、日本や韓国、中国などの近隣諸国では、流行が増加の趨勢にある；
南西/東ヨーロッパや北アフリカ、中米及びカリブ海諸国でも、最近の活動レベル及び陽性率がいずれも上昇しえおり、欧州やアジア、アフリカの一部の国における陽性率は30％を超えている。
疾管署は、「国内のCOVID-19は現在、低水準で推移しており、第48週には、COVID-19関連の外来および救急外来の受診者数は1,225人回で、前週と同レベルにあるが、主要な変異株はNB.1.8.1であった；過去7日間で、重症化を伴うCOVID-19の市中感染例が3例、本土死亡症例1例が報告された。
今年10月以降、重症患者を伴ったCOVID-19の本土症例数は計39例で、5例が死亡しているが、重症者の大部分は

The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) announced today (December 2) that as of December 1, 2025, approximately 6.30 million people have received the publicly funded influenza vaccine, and a total of 1.48 million people have received the COVID-19 vaccine, including 2.1 million people who received the Novavax JN.1 vaccine.
As year-end gatherings and events may increase the risk of disease transmission, and it takes about 2 weeks for this vaccine to provide sufficient protection, eligible individuals are advised to get vaccinated as soon as possible.
According to data from the CDC, there were 87,162 outpatient and emergency room visits for ILI in the 48th week (November 23-29), which is similar to the previous week;
In the past seven days, there have been 24 new cases of severe influenza complications (3 H1N1, 20 H3N2, and 1 untyped A case) and 9 deaths (3 H1N1 and 6 H3N2).
According to laboratory monitoring data, the data shows that the respiratory pathogens currently circulating in the community are mainly influenza viruses, with type A H3N2 being the most common, followed by type B and type A H1N1.
This 2025-2026 influenza season saw a cumulative total of 349 severe cases (107 H1N1, 235 H3N2, 3 unspecified Type A, and 4 Type Bs) and 53 deaths (19 H1N1, 33 H3N2, and 1 Type B).
The majority of severe cases were among those aged 65 and over (64%) and those with a history of chronic illness (83%). 93% of patients had not received the influenza vaccine this season.
Global influenza activity is rising, with the main circulating strain being A(H3N2), the epidemic is on the rise in neighboring countries such as Japan, South Korea, and China;
Recently, activity and positivity rates have also increased in Southwest/Eastern Europe, North Africa, Central America and the Caribbean, with some countries in Europe, Asia and Africa having influenza positivity rates exceeding 30%.
CDC explained that the domestic COVID-19 epidemic is currently fluctuating at a low point. In week 48, there were 1,225 outpatient and emergency room visits related to COVID-19, the same as the previous week. The dominant variant is NB.1.8.1.
In the past seven days, there have been 3 new locally transmitted cases of severe COVID-19 complications and 1 local death. Since October this year, there have been a cumulative total of 39 locally transmitted cases of severe COVID-19 complications, including 5 deaths. Severe cases are mostly among those aged 65 and above (59%) and those with a history of chronic diseases (79%).
