According to monitoring, influenza in Beijing has entered its peak season, with the circulating strain being influenza A(H3N2). Compared to previous seasons with the same prevalent strains, the prevalence intensity in 2025 remains lower than the historical peak. On December 1, the Municipal Health Commission introduced that the city is leveraging the “three-pronged approach” mechanism to ensure the medical needs of sick children through multiple measures, and all general hospitals at or above the secondary level have opened pediatric outpatient clinics.
Every autumn and winter, the number of children suffering from respiratory illnesses increases. Taking Beijing Children’s Hospital as an example, the total number of children treated increased starting in November 2025, but the total number did not exceed that of the same period in 2024. The increase was faster in the third week, while the fourth week (November 24-30) remained basically the same as the previous week.
Based on the precise rules, this city guided medical institutions to formulate emergency plans before the peak of medical consultations, promoted the “opening of fever clinics, pediatrics, and respiratory departments as much as possible”, dynamically expanded medical staff and clinics, and opened infusion follow-up clinics to divert children. 根据监测，本市流感已进入高峰期，流行株为甲型H3N2。与既往相同流行株的流行季相比，2025年流行强度仍低于历史高峰。12月1日，市卫生健康委介绍，本市正在发挥“三医联动”机制作用，多措并举保障患儿就医需求，二级以上综合医院全部开设儿科门诊。
