台湾中央流行疫情指揮センターは、8月19日、「新たにCOVID-19確診症例が6例増えたが、それぞれ、本土症例1例、輸入症例5例となっている；更に、確診症例中、新たに5例が死亡した」と発表した。
指揮センターは、「本日、新たに国内症例1例（第16006号）は台湾籍の50代男性で、最近の渡航歴はない。 本年8月18日、家族が入院中であり、その看病をしていたため、同日、検査を受けたとろ、本日確定診断された（Ct値22.7）。彼は、無症候性感染症であるが、衛生単位は病院や地域における調査・予防を開始しており、関連接触者リストを作成中」と発表した。
指揮センターは、「本日新たに死亡例5例が増えたが、60代から80代の男性3例、女性2例となっている。 5月24日～6月13日の間に発症、6月02日～ 6月15日の間に確定診断され、8月13日～ 8月17日の間に死亡していた。詳細は『☞20210819E 台湾新規増加死者5名のリスト』を参照されたい」と発表。
指揮センターは、「最近隔離を解除された確診症例については、5月11日～ 8月17日迄に発表された14,681例中、既に13,545人が隔離を解除されており、確診患者総数の92.3％が隔離解除されたことになる」と指摘する。

The Central Epidemic Command Center announced on Aug. 19 that there were 6 newly confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Taiwan consisting of 1 local case and 5 imported cases from abroad. There were 5 new deaths among the confirmed cases.
According to the command center, one (1) new local case (case 16006) added today is a Taiwanese male in his 50s who has no recent history of domestic and foreign travel. He went to see a doctor with his family on August 18, 2021. Because his family needs to be hospitalized, he was examined by the accompanying patient on the same day and was diagnosed today (Ct value 22.7); The case was an asymptomatic infection. The health unit has initiated hospital and community investigations and prevention, and related contacts are listed.
The command center explained that there were 5 new deaths today; 3 males and 2 females between in their 60s and 80s. The onset date is from May 24 to June 13, the diagnosis date is from June 02 to June 15, and the date of death is from August 13 to August 17; details are shown in Annex 1 of the press release.
The command center pointed out that as for the recently released diagnosed cases from isolation, 13,545 people have been released from quarantine, among 14,681 confirmed cases announced from May 11 to August 16. The number of people released from quarantine has reached 92.3% of the confirmed cases.

中央流行疫情指揮中心今(19)日公布國內新增6例COVID-19確定病例，分別為1例本土及5例境外移入；另確診個案中新增5例死亡。
指揮中心表示，今日新增之1例本土病例(案16006)，為本國籍50多歲男性，近期無國內外旅遊史，今(2021)年8月18日陪家人就醫，因家人需住院治療，故於同日接受陪病者採檢，於今日確診(Ct值22.7)；個案為無症狀感染，衛生單位已啟動醫院及社區調查與防治，相關接觸者匡列中。
指揮中心說明，今日新增5例死亡個案，為3例男性、2例女性，年齡介於60多歲至80多歲，發病日介5月24日至6月13日，確診日介於6月2日至6月15日，死亡日介於8月13日至8月17日；詳如新聞稿附件1。
指揮中心指出，近期確診個案解隔離情形，5月11日至8月17日累計公布14,681位確診個案中，已有13,545人解除隔離，解隔離人數達確診人數92.3%。
