台湾中央流行疫情指揮センターは、「8月12日、新たにCOVID-19確診症例が6例増えたが、それぞれ、本土症例4例、輸入症例2例となっている；更に、確診症例中、新たに1例が死亡した」と発表した。
指揮センターは、「本日、新たに国内症例4例が増えた（うち1例は在宅隔中或いは隔離期間満了検査で陽性となった人である：（宮本注：つまり、2週間或いは3週間を超えて感染が確認された事例が斯くも多く存在しているという情報を台湾政府が認めている！）が、20代から50代までの男性3人、女性1人であり、2021年8月4日から8月09日の間に発症していた。 患者分布は、台北市が3例、次いで新北市1例となっている； そのうち、2例の感染源は既に判明、2例は関連不明、0例が疫学調査中となっているが、関連調査は今なお進められている」と発表した。
指揮センターは、「本日新たに増えた死亡例1例（第15379号）は80代男性で、慢性疾患歴や関連するような活動歴がある。 6月29日に別の理由で入院していたが、見舞いに来た人（第15334号）が確定診断され、7月12日に濃厚接触者への検査が行われ、7月13日に確定診断され、8月7日に死亡した」と発表。
指揮センターは、「最近隔離を解除された確診症例については、5月11日～ 8月10日迄に発表された14,599例中、既に13,121人が隔離を解除されており、確診患者総数の89.9％が隔離解除されたことになる」と指摘する。

The Central Epidemic Command Center announced on Aug. 12 that there were 6 newly confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Taiwan consisting of 4 local cases and 2 imported cases from abroad. There was 1 new death among the confirmed cases.
The command center said, the newly added 4 local cases (of which 1 case was those who tested positive during home quarantine/isolation or after the expiry date of isolation) today are 3 males and 1 female, aged in their 20s and 50s, with onset dates between Aug 04 and August 09, 2021. The distribution of cases is 3 cases in Taipei City, followed by New Taipei City’s 1 case; Out of 4 local cases, 2 cases are known their sources of infection, 2 cases’ relation is unknown, 0 case is under investigation. Related epidemic investigations are ongoing.
The command center explained that one new death case (case 15379) was added today, a male in his 80s. He has a history of chronic disease and contact history with other confirmed cases. He was hospitalized for other reasons on June 29 and was later diagnosed by a caregiver (case 15334). Contacts were collected on July 12, confirmed on July 13, and died on August 7.
The command center pointed out that as for the recently released diagnosed cases from isolation, 13,121 people have been released from quarantine, among 14,599 confirmed cases announced from May 11 to August 10. The number of people released from quarantine has reached 89.9% of the confirmed cases.

中央流行疫情指揮中心今(12)日公布國內新增6例COVID-19確定病例，分別為4例本土及2例境外移入；另確診個案中新增1例死亡。
指揮中心表示，今日新增之4例本土病例(其中1例為居家隔離期間檢驗陽性者)，為3例男性、1例女性，年齡介於20多歲至50多歲，發病日介於今(2021)年8月4日至8月9日。個案分布為臺北市3例、新北市1例；其中2例為已知感染源、2例關聯不明，將持續進行疫情調查，以釐清感染源。
指揮中心說明，今日新增1例死亡個案(案15379)，為80多歲男性，有慢性病史及其他確診個案接觸史，6月29日因其他原因住院治療，後因照顧者(案15334)確診，於7月12日進行接觸者採檢，7月13日確診，8月7日死亡。
指揮中心指出，近期確診個案解隔離情形，5月11日至8月10日累計公布14,599位確診個案中，已有13,121人解除隔離，解隔離人數達確診人數89.9%。
