中央流行疫情指揮センターは、「本3月20日、新たにCOVID-19の輸入症例1例が確定診断されたが、インドネシア籍の20代男性漁師（第1006号）であった。 彼は、2021年3月5日、出国3日以内の陰性証明を保持して仕事のため来台したが、入国からこれまで症状はなかった。 入国後は集中隔離所で隔離を受け、3月18日に隔離期間満了前検査が行われ、本日確診された。」と発表。
指揮センターは、「衛生単位は既に患者の濃厚接触者11名を把握、彼らは一緒に入国した人たちであるが、そのうちの一人が3月19日に公表された患者（第1005号患者）、その他の10人の検査結果は全て陰性であった。 彼らは接触期間中に適切な防護をしていたことから、自主健康管理とされた」と発表している。

The Central Epidemic Command Center announced today (20) a new confirmed case of imported COVID-19 in China (Case 1006), an Indonesian male fisherman in his 20s. He came to work in Taiwan on March 5, 2021. He has a negative test report within 3 days before the flight. He has entered the country with no symptoms so far. After entering the country, the case was quarantined at the centralized quarantine station. He got tested before the expiration of the quarantine period on March 18, and the diagnosis was confirmed today.
The command center stated that the health unit has known a total of 11 contacts of the case. As a companion they entered Taiwan together, one of them was a diagnosed case (Case 1005) who was announced on March 19, and the remaining 10 people all were negative in the test results, and as they were properly protected during the contact period and listed as independent health management.
According to the statistics of the command center, so far, there have been a total of 183,817 notifications related to novel coronavirus pneumonia in China (including 181,788 excluded cases). Among them, 1,005 cases were confirmed,

中央流行疫情指揮中心今(20)日公布國內新增1例境外移入COVID-19確定病例(案1006)，為印尼籍20多歲男性漁工，今(2021)年3月5日來臺工作，持有搭機前3日內檢驗陰性報告，入境迄今並無症狀。個案入境後至集中檢疫所檢疫，3月18日接受檢疫期滿前採檢，於今日確診。
指揮中心表示，衛生單位已掌握個案接觸者共11人，為一同入境之同行者，其中1人為3月19日公布之確診個案(案1005)，餘10人檢驗結果均為陰性，且接觸期間均有適當防護，列自主健康管理。
