中央流行疫情指揮センターは、「本4月18日、新たにCOVID-19の輸入症例1例（第1074号）が確定診断されたが、マレーシア籍の40代男性だ。
彼は、出国72時間以内の陰性証明を持ち2021年4月15日に就労のため来台したが、来台時に異常な発熱（38.5度）があり、検査のために病院に後送されて本日確定診断された（Ct値16）。 患者は、機内にいる時にのどの渇きと痒みを感じ、軽い咳があったと自術している。 衛生単位は既に濃厚接触者14人をリスト化しているが、同便の前後に列の旅客3人は在宅隔離に、搭乗クルー11人は適切な防護をしていたため自主健康管理とした」と発表した（宮本注： つまり、陰性証明をもって4月15日に来台したが、その時点で異常な体温が検知されたため病院での検査を受け、入国後3日目で確定診断されたことになります）。

Taiwan newly added two cases of COVID-19 imported from abroad: Came from Malaysia

The Central Epidemic Command Center announced on April 18 today that there is one new confirmed case of imported COVID-19 in China (Case 1074), a Malaysian male in his 40s. He came to Taiwan to work on April 15, 2021 holding a negative test report within 3 days before the flight. When he entered the country, his body temperature was abnormal (38.5℃), the case was sent to the hospital for examination and was diagnosed today (Ct value 16). The case reported that he felt dry and itchy in his throat and a slight cough on board. The health unit has listed a total of 14 contacts, including 3 passengers in 2 rows before and after the seats on the plane, and 11 crew members, all of whom are properly protected, and are assigned independent health management.
According to the statistics of the command center, so far, there have been a total of 198,850 notifications related to novel coronavirus pneumonia in China (including 197,337 excluded cases). 中央流行疫情指揮中心今(18)日公布國內新增1例境外移入COVID-19確定病例(案1074)，為馬來西亞籍40多歲男性，今(2021)年4月15日來臺工作，持有搭機前3日內檢驗陰性報告，入境時因體溫異常(38.5℃)，後送醫院採檢送驗，於今日確診(Ct值16)。個案自述在機上自覺喉嚨乾癢及輕微咳嗽。衛生單位已匡列接觸者共14人，其中個案機上座位前後2排旅客共3人，列居家隔離，機組人員共11名，因均著適當防護，列自主健康管理。
