中央流行疫情指揮センターは、「本4月23日、新たにCOVID-19の輸入症例2例が確定診断されたが、インド（第1088号）及びベルギー（第1089号）からの来台者であった」と発表した。
指揮センターは、「第1088号患者は、インド籍の30代男性で、出国前72時間以内の陰性証明を持参して2021年4月6日に就労のため来台、来台後は、防疫ホテルで隔離されていた； 患者は、業務上の必要性から、4月21日の隔離期間満了後、病院に行き自費で検査を受けたところ、本日確定診断された（Ct値32、入院後の検査ではCt値33、血清抗体IgM、IgGは全て陽性）。 台湾にいる間、患者には症状はなく、既に濃厚接触者5人が把握されている。 うち1人は在宅隔離に、4人は自主健康管理とした（宮本注： つまり、海外で陽性が検出された人が陰性証明書をもって4月6日に来台したが、隔離期間満了後に自費検査を受けたところ入国後17日目で確定診断されたことになります）」と発表した。

The Central Epidemic Command Center announced today (23) that two newly confirmed cases of COVID-19 imported from abroad were imported from India (Case 1088) and Belgium (Case 1089).
The command center stated that Case 1088 was an Indian male in his 30s who came to work in Taiwan on April 6, 2021, and had a negative test report within 3 days before boarding. After entering the country, he went to the epidemic prevention hotel for isolation;Due to work needs, after the expiration of the quarantine period on April 21, the case was taken to the hospital for examination at his own expense and was diagnosed today (Ct value of 32, Ct value of 33 after hospitalization, serum antibodies IgM and IgG are positive). The case was asymptomatic during his stay in Taiwan, and 5 contacts have been known, of which one is listed in home isolation and 4 is listed in independent health management.

中央流行疫情指揮中心今(23)日公布國內新增2例COVID-19境外移入確定病例，自印度(案1088)及比利時(案1089)入境。
指揮中心表示，案1088為印度籍30多歲男性，今(2021)年4月6日來臺工作，持有搭機前3日內檢驗陰性報告，入境後至防疫旅館進行檢疫；因工作需要，個案於4月21日檢疫期滿後，至醫院自費採檢，於今日確診(Ct值32，住院後採檢Ct值33，血清抗體IgM及IgG皆為陽性)。個案在臺期間並無症狀，已掌握接觸者5人，其中1人列居家隔離，4人列自主健康管理。
