The Department of Disease Control and Prevention (hereinafter referred to as the CDC) stated today (Jul. 2) that the domestic COVID-19 epidemic last week (6/25-7/1) added 932 confirmed local cases (complications) of COVID-19, which showed an increase compared to the 815 new cases in the previous week (6/18-6/24). Elderly people over the age of 65 accounted for 79% of the cumulative complications; Further, there were 64 new deaths last week, a decrease from the 40 new deaths in the previous week.
