疾病管理予防センター（以下、CDC）は、4月11日、台湾で新たにサル痘（Mpox）の本土症例2例が増えたが、2人はそれぞれ北部の30代及び南部の20代台湾籍男性で、発症日は3月30日と4月4日、発熱や咽頭痛、鼻水、紅疹、水疱などの症状が現れたため、医師の診断を受けた後、検査・報告され、それぞれ4月07日及び4月09日に陽性が診断された。2人には、最近の出国歴はなく、本土症例とされた。2人は現在病院で隔離治療を受けているが、疫学調査の結果、高リスクの接触者計5名がリストアップされ、既に健康教育と21日間の自己健康観察を受けている。わが国は昨年6月23日からMpoxを第2類の法定感

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (hereinafter referred to as the CDC) announced on April 11 that two new local monkeypox (Mpox) confirmed cases were confirmed in Taiwan, they are men of their nationality in their 30s in the north and men in their 20s in the south. The onset dates are March 30 and April 4 this year (2023), respectively. 疾病管制署(下稱疾管署)今(11)日公布國內新增2例本土猴痘(Mpox)確定病例，分別為北部30多歲及南部20多歲本國籍男性，發病日分別為今(2023)年3月30日及4月4日，因身體陸續出現發燒、喉嚨痛、流鼻水、紅疹、水泡等症狀，經醫師評估後採檢通報，並於4月7日及4月9日確診，因2例個案近期無出國旅遊史，故研判為本土個案。2例個案目前均於醫院隔離治療中，經疫調匡列相關高風險接觸者5名，已進行衛教並自我健康監測21天。我國自去(2022)年6月23日將Mpox列為第二類法定傳染病，截至今日累計確診25例病例(18例本土及7例境外移入)，其中2例仍住院隔離治療中，其餘23例已康復出院。
