疾病管制署（以下、疾管署）は本日（6月28日）、台湾では6月、新たにMPOXの本土症例が確認されたと発表したが、全員台湾籍の20代から30代までの男性で、4例は北部居住者、2例は中部居住者であり、6月1日～17日の間に発症、全身に皮疹や水疱、膿疱などが次々と現れ、医師の診察を受けて検査を受けていた。疾管署は、台湾が2022年6月23日からMPOXを第二類法定感染症と指定したことを伝えているが、2024年6月26日時点で、感染者累計375例が確認されている（本土感染者353例、輸入感染者22例）。うち、今年の新規感染者は16例（本土13例、輸入3例）で、4月と5月の新規感染者はそれぞれ2例ずつだったのに対し、6月は本土新規感染者が6例となっており、流行は増加傾向にあり、北部、中部、南部でMpoxの本土感染者が発生しており、社区のMpoxの伝播リスクが依然として存在していることを示している。

The Department of Disease Control (hereinafter referred to as the CDC) announced today (June 28) that there were 6 new locally confirmed cases of Mpox (Mpox) in Taiwan in June, they are all Taiwanese men. Four cases live in the northern counties and two cases live in the central counties, their age ranges from 20s to 30s. The onset date was between June 1st and June 17th. 疾病管制署(下稱疾管署)今(28)日公布國內6月計新增6例M痘(Mpox)本土確定病例，皆為本國籍男性，居住縣市為北部4例、中部2例，年齡介於20多歲至30多歲，發病日介於6月1日至6月17日，因身體陸續出現皮疹、水泡、膿疱等症狀，經醫師評估後採檢通報。疾管署提醒我國自2022年6月23日將M痘列為第二類法定傳染病，截至今(2024)年6月26日累計確診375例病例（353例本土及22例境外移入），其中今年新增16例(13例本土及3例境外)，而6月新增6例本土個案，相較4、5月各新增2例，疫情有升溫趨勢，且今年北、中、南及東部均有本土M痘病例，顯示社區M痘傳播風險仍在。
依WHO及各國監測資料，今年全球疫情仍持續，每月平均新增近8百例病例，其中美洲區佔約47.5%最
