台湾中央流行疫情指揮センターは、「8月03日、新たにCOVID-19確診症例が19例増えたが、それぞれ、本土症例16例、輸入症例3例となっている；更に、確診症例中、新たに2例が死亡した」と発表した。
指揮センターは、「本日、新たに国内症例16例が増えた（うち10例は在宅隔中或いは隔離期間満了検査で陽性となった人である：（宮本注：つまり、2週間或いは3週間を超えて感染が確認された事例が斯くも多く存在しているという情報を台湾政府が認めている！）が、5歳未満から70代までの男性9人、女性7人であり、2021年7月26日～8月02日の間に発症していた。 患者分布は、新北市が10例と最多で、次いで台北市の4例、嘉義県の2例となっている； そのうち、13例の感染源は既に判明、2例は関連不明、1例が疫学調査中となっているが、関連調査は今なお進められている」と発表した。
指揮センターは、「本日新たに増えた死亡例2例のうち、第7320号は、70代女性だが、慢性疾患と他の確診症例との接触歴があった； 5月27日に濃厚接触者の検査が手配され結果陽性となり入院治療することに。5月28日、確定診断、6月24日に隔離が解除されたが7月31日に死亡した。第14258号は、80代男性だが、慢性疾患歴があった。 患者は6月10日、別の理由で入院をしていたが、病室内にその他の確診患者への濃厚接触者がいたため、隔離となり6月21日に濃厚接触者への検査が行われ、6月23日に確定診断、7月28日に死亡した」と発表。
指揮センターは、「最近隔離を解除された確診症例については、5月11日～ 8月01日迄に発表された14,489例中、既に12,929人が隔離を解除されており、確診患者総数の89.2％が隔離解除されたことになる」と指摘する。

The Central Epidemic Command Center announced on Aug. 03 that there were 19 newly confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Taiwan consisting of 16 local cases and 3 imported cases from abroad. There were 2 new deaths among the confirmed cases.
The command center said, the newly added 16 local cases (of which 10 cases were those who tested positive during home quarantine/isolation or after the expiry date of isolation) today are 9 males and 7 females, aged between under 5 years old and in their 70s, with onset dates between July 26 and August 02, 2021. The distribution of cases is 10 cases in New Taipei City, followed by 4 cases in Taipei City, 2 cases in Jiayi County; Out of 16 local cases, 13 cases are known their sources of infection, 2 case’s relation is unknown, 1 case is under investigation. Related epidemic investigations are ongoing.
The command center explained that of the two new deaths today, 7320 was a woman in her 70s having a history of chronic disease and contact history with other confirmed cases. She was arranged for contact screening on May 27, and the test result was positive and admitted to hospital. She was diagnosed on May 28, released from isolation on June 24, and died on July 31. Case 14258 is a man in his 80s with a history of chronic disease. The case was hospitalized for other reasons on June 10, and other patients were diagnosed in the same ward. The isolation was arranged and contacts were collected on June 21. The case was diagnosed on June 23 and died on July 28.
The command center pointed out that as for the recently released diagnosed cases from isolation, 12,929 people have been released from quarantine, among 14,489 confirmed cases announced from May 11 to August 01. The number of people released from quarantine has reached 89.2% of the confirmed cases.

中央流行疫情指揮中心今(3)日公布國內新增19例COVID-19確定病例，分別為16例本土及3例境外移入；另確診個案中新增2例死亡。
指揮中心表示，今日新增之16例本土病例(其中10例為居家隔離期間或期滿檢驗陽性者)，為9例男性、7例女性，年齡介於未滿5歲至70多歲，發病日介於今(2021)年7月26日至8月2日。個案分布以新北市10例為最多，其次為臺北市4例、嘉義縣2例；其中13例為已知感染源、2例關聯不明，1例疫調中，將持續進行疫情調查，以釐清感染源。
指揮中心說明，今日新增2例死亡個案中，案7320為70多歲女性，有慢性病史及其他確診個案接觸史，5月27日安排接觸者採檢，檢驗結果陽性並收治住院，5月28日確診，6月24日解除隔離，7月31日死亡。案14258為80多歲男性，有慢性病史，個案於6月10日因其他原因住院，因同病房有其他病患確診，安排隔離並於6月21日接觸者採檢，6月23日確診，7月28日死亡。
指揮中心指出，近期確診個案解隔離情形，5月11日至8月1日累計公布14,489位確診個案中，已有12,929人解除隔離，解隔離人數達確診人數89.2%。
