台湾中央流行疫情指揮センターは、「8月04日、新たにCOVID-19確診症例が21例増えたが、それぞれ、本土症例20例、輸入症例1例となっている；更に、確診症例中、新たに0例が死亡した」と発表した。
指揮センターは、「本日、新たに国内症例20例が増えた（うち16例は在宅隔中或いは隔離期間満了検査で陽性となった人である：（宮本注：つまり、2週間或いは3週間を超えて感染が確認された事例が斯くも多く存在しているという情報を台湾政府が認めている！）が、20代から70代までの男性9人、女性11人であり、2021年7月24日～8月03日の間に発症していた。 患者分布は、新北市が14例と最多で、次いで台北市の5例、桃園市の1例となっている； そのうち、16例の感染源は既に判明、4例は関連不明、0例が疫学調査中となっているが、関連調査は今なお進められている」と発表した。
指揮センターは、「最近隔離を解除された確診症例については、5月11日～ 8月02日迄に発表された14,503例中、既に12,957人が隔離を解除されており、確診患者総数の89.3％が隔離解除されたことになる」と指摘する。

The Central Epidemic Command Center announced on Aug. 04 that there were 21 newly confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Taiwan consisting of 20 local cases and 1 imported case from abroad. There were 0 new deaths among the confirmed cases.
The command center said, the newly added 20 local cases (of which 16 cases were those who tested positive during home quarantine/isolation or after the expiry date of isolation) today are 9 males and 11 females, aged in their 20s and in their 70s, with onset dates between July 24 and August 03, 2021. The distribution of cases is 14 cases in New Taipei City, followed by 5 cases in Taipei City, 1 case in Taoyuan City; Out of 20 local cases, 16 cases are known their sources of infection, 4 case’s relation is unknown, 0 case is under investigation. Related epidemic investigations are ongoing.
The command center pointed out that as for the recently released diagnosed cases from isolation, 12,957 people have been released from quarantine, among 14,503 confirmed cases announced from May 11 to August 02. The number of people released from quarantine has reached 89.3% of the confirmed cases.

中央流行疫情指揮中心今(4)日公布國內新增21例COVID-19確定病例，分別為20例本土及1例境外移入；另確診個案中無新增死亡。
指揮中心表示，今日新增之20例本土病例(其中16例為居家隔離期間或期滿檢驗陽性者)，為9例男性、11例女性，年齡介於20多歲至70多歲，發病日介於今(2021)年7月24日至8月3日。個案分布以新北市14例最多，其次為臺北市5例、桃園市1例；其中16例為已知感染源、4例關聯不明將持續進行疫情調查，以釐清感染源。
指揮中心指出，近期確診個案解隔離情形，5月11日至8月2日累計公布14,503位確診個案中，已有12,957人解除隔離，解隔離人數達確診人數89.3%。
指揮中心表示，今日新增1例境外移入個案(案15850)，為日本籍10多歲女性，8月2日自日本來臺就學，
