台湾中央流行疫情指揮センターは、「8月14日、新たにCOVID-19確診症例が7例増えたが、それぞれ、本土症例3例、輸入症例4例となっている；更に、確診症例中、新たに2例が死亡した」と発表した。
指揮センターは、「本日、新たに国内症例3例が増えた（うち2例は在宅隔中或いは隔離期間満了検査で陽性となった人である：（宮本注：つまり、2週間或いは3週間を超えて感染が確認された事例が斯くも多く存在しているという情報を台湾政府が認めている！）が、30代から60代までの男性1人、女性1人であり、2021年8月12日に発症していた。 患者分布は、新北市の2例となっている； そのうち、2例の感染源は既に判明、1例は関連不明、0例が疫学調査中となっているが、関連調査は今なお進められている」と発表した。
指揮センターは、「本日新たに増えた死亡例2例中、第4213号は50代の男性で、慢性疾患歴、関連するような活動歴を有していた。 5月17日に痰交じりの咳や胸痛、下痢などの症状が相次いで現れ、5月22日に病院に隔離治療のため入院し検査を受けたところ5月23日に確診されたが6月11日には隔離が解除されて退院したが、6月21日に他の理由で死亡した。 第11423号は、90代の女性。 慢性疾患歴は有するも関連の活動歴は有していない。6月3日に発熱や咳、嘔吐などの症状が現れ、6月5日病院で隔離入院治療と検査を受け、6月7日に確定診断された。 6月22日に隔離解除、退院するも7月12日別の原因で死亡した」と発表。
指揮センターは、「最近隔離を解除された確診症例については、5月11日～ 8月12日迄に発表された14,621例中、既に13,184人が隔離を解除されており、確診患者総数の90.2％が隔離解除されたことになる」と指摘する。

The Central Epidemic Command Center announced on Aug. 14 that there were 7 newly confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Taiwan consisting of 3 local cases and 4 imported cases from abroad. There were 2 new deaths among the confirmed cases.
The command center said, the newly added 3 local cases (of which 2 cases were those who tested positive during home quarantine/isolation or after the expiry date of isolation) today are 1 male and 1 female, aged in their 30s and 60s, with onset dates between Aug 12 and August 12, 2021. The distribution of cases is 2 cases in New Taipei City; Out of 3 local cases, 2 cases are known their sources of infection, 1 cases’ relation is unknown, 0 case is under investigation. Related epidemic investigations are ongoing.
The command center explained
that among the two new deaths today, 4213 was a 50-year-old male with a history of chronic disease and exposure to related activities. Since May 17, he has been coughing with sputum, chest pain, and diarrhea. He sought medical examination on May 22 and was hospitalized in isolation for treatment. He was diagnosed on May 23. He was released from isolation on June 11 and died on June 21 due to other reasons. Case 11423 is a 90-year-old woman with a history of chronic disease and no history of contact with related activities. She developed fever, cough, and vomiting on June 3. She sought medical examination on June 5 and was hospitalized in isolation for treatment. She was diagnosed on June 7 and was released from isolation on June 22. She died on July 12 due to other reasons.
The command center pointed out that as for the recently released diagnosed cases from isolation, 13,184 people have been released from quarantine, among 14,621 confirmed cases announced from May 11 to August 11. The number of people released from quarantine has reached 90.2% of the confirmed cases.

中央流行疫情指揮中心今(14)日公布國內新增7例COVID-19確定病例，分別為3例本土及4例境外移入；另確診個案中新增2例死亡。
指揮中心表示，今日新增之3例本土病例(其中2例為居家隔離期間陽性者)，為1例男性、2例女性，年齡介於30多歲至60多歲，發病日均為今(2021)年8月12日。個案分布為新北市2例、臺北市1例；其中2例為已知感染源、1例關聯不明，將持續進行疫情調查，以釐清感染源。
指揮中心說明，今日新增2例死亡個案中，案4213為50多歲男性，有慢性病史及相關活動接觸史，5月17日起陸續出現咳嗽有痰、胸痛、腹瀉症狀，5月22日就醫採檢並住院隔離治療，5月23日確診，6月11日解除隔離並出院，6月21日因其他原因死亡。案11423為90多歲女性，有慢性病史、無相關活動接觸史，6月3日出現發燒、咳嗽、嘔吐症狀，6月5日就醫採檢並住院隔離治療，6月7日確診，6月22日解除隔離並出院，7月12日因其他原因死亡。
指揮中心指出，近期確診個案解隔離情形，5月11日至8月12日累計公布14,621位確診個案中，已有13,184人解除隔離，解隔離人數達確診人數90.2%。
