台湾中央流行疫情指揮センターは、8月23日、「新たにCOVID-19確診症例が6例増えたが、それぞれ、本土症例4例、輸入症例2例となっている；更に、確診症例中、新たに0例が死亡した」と発表した。
指揮センターは、「本日、新たに国内症例4例（うち2例は在宅隔中或いは隔離期間満了検査で陽性となった人である：（宮本注：つまり、2週間或いは3週間を超えて感染が確認された事例が一定数存在しているという情報を台湾政府が認めている！）が増えたが、20代から70 代の男性2例、女性2例で、うち2人は2021年8月15日と8月20日に発症、その他の2例は無症状感染者となる；患者分布は新台北市が全ての4例を占めている。 そのうち、2例の感染源は既に判明、2例は関連不明、0例が疫学調査中となっているが、関連調査は今なお進められている」と発表した。
指揮センターは、「最近隔離を解除された確診症例については、5月11日～ 8月21日迄に発表された14,717例中、既に13,601人が隔離を解除されており、確診患者総数の92.4％が隔離解除されたことになる」と指摘する。
指揮センターは、「本日増えた輸入症例2例中、第16037号はロシア籍の20代女性で、ワクチン未接種、出国前72時間以内の陰性証明書を携えて8月11日に就学のため来台していた。患者は、空港での検査結

The Central Epidemic Command Center announced on Aug. 23 that there were 6 newly confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Taiwan consisting of 4 local cases and 2 imported cases from abroad. There was no (0) new death among the confirmed cases.
The command center said, the newly added 4 local cases (of which 2 cases were those who tested positive during home quarantine/isolation or after the expiry date of isolation) today are 2 males and 2 females aged in their 20s and in their 70s. As for the onset date of 2 cases was one on Aug 15 and the other on August 20, the other 2 cases are asymptomatic infection. The distribution of cases is 4 cases in New Taipei City; Out of 4 local cases, 2 cases are known their sources of infection, 2 cases’ relation is unknown, 0 cases are under investigation. Related epidemic investigations are ongoing.
The command center pointed out that as for the recently released diagnosed cases from isolation, 13,601 people have been released from quarantine, among 14,717 confirmed cases announced from May 11 to August 16. The number of people released from quarantine has reached 92.4% of the confirmed cases.
The command center explained that there are two new cases of overseas immigration today. Case 16037 is a Russian woman in her 20s who has not been vaccinated against COVID-19. She came to Taiwan from Russia to study on August 11 and held a negative test certificate within 3 days of flying. The case was taken at the airport and the result was

中央流行疫情指揮中心今(23)日公布國內新增6例COVID-19確定病例，分別為4例本土及2例境外移入；另確診個案中無新增死亡。
指揮中心表示，今日新增之4例本土病例(其中2例為居家隔離期間陽性者)，為2例男性、2例女性，年齡介於20多歲至70多歲，其中2例發病日分別為今(2021)年8月15日、8月20日，餘2例為無症狀感染。個案分布均在新北市；其中2例為已知感染源、2例關聯不明，將持續進行疫情調查，以釐清感染源。
指揮中心指出，近期確診個案解隔離情形，5月11日至8月21日累計公布14,717位確診個案中，已有13,601人解除隔離，解隔離人數達確診人數92.4%。
指揮中心說明，今日新增2例境外移入個案中，案16037為俄羅斯籍20多歲女性，未接種COVID-19疫苗，8月11日自俄羅斯來臺就學，持搭機3日內檢驗陰性證明，個案入境於機場採檢結果陰性，至防疫旅館檢疫，8月20日有鼻塞等症狀，8月21日由衛生單位安排採檢，於今日確診。個案檢疫期間無接觸他人，故
