The Central Epidemic Command Center announced on April 25 that one new confirmed case of COVID-19 was imported from the United States (Case 1099).
According to the command center, the Case 1099 is a Taiwanese male in his 40s. and he went to Mexico on February 3, 2021. He stayed in the U.S. from April 12th to 16th, returned to Taiwan on April 18th, having a negative test report within 3 days before the flight, and went to the epidemic prevention hotel for quarantine after entering the country; He developed fever and cough on April 22, and was arranged by the health unit for medical treatment and examination. 指揮中心表示， 案1099為本國籍40多歲男性， 今(2021)年2月3日至墨西哥洽公，4 月12日至16日停留美國， 於4月18日抵臺， 持有搭機前3日內檢驗陰性報告， 入境後至防疫旅館進行檢疫； 4月22日因出現發燒及咳嗽症狀， 由衛生單位安排至醫院就醫並採檢， 於今日確診 (Ct值18)。 個案在臺期間為居家檢疫期未與他人接觸， 且就醫時接觸之人員均有適當防護， 故無匡列接觸者； 另掌握個案境外同行同事34名， 均在居家
