台湾中央流行疫情指揮センターは、本日8月20日、「新たに増えたCOVID-19確診症例は22,161例（うち本土症例21,925例、輸入症例236例）；更に、確診症例中、36例の死亡者が出た」と発表。
指揮センターは、「本日、新たに増えた国内症例21,925例は、5歳未満から90歳以上の男性9,989例、女性11,928例、性別調査中8例だ。患者分布は、新台北市（4,488例）、台中市（2,689例）、台北市（2,634例）、桃園市（2,465例）、高雄市（1,751例）、台南市（1,336例）、彰化県（949例）、新竹県（628例）、新竹市（609例）、屏東県（579例）、苗栗県（565例）、宜蘭県（545例）、雲林県（510例）、花蓮県（429例）、南投県（413例）、基隆市（377例）、嘉義県（304例）、嘉義市（215例）、台東県（204例）、金門県（130例）、澎湖県（90例）、連江県（15例）となる」としている。

The Central Epidemic Command Center announced today (Aug 20) that there were 22,161 newly confirmed cases of COVID-19 in China, including 21,925 local and 236 imported cases; further, there were 36 deaths.
The command center stated that the new 21925 local cases today are 9989 males and 11928 females, (8 are under investigation of gender), aged between under 5 years old and over 90s; The distribution of cases is New Taipei City (4488 cases), Taichung City (2689cases), Taipei City (2634 cases), Taoyuan City (2465 cases), Kaohsiung City (1751 cases), Tainan City (1336 cases), Changhua County (949 cases), Hsinchu County (628 cases), Hsinchu City (609 cases), Pingtung County (579 cases), Miaoli County (565 cases), Yilan County (545 cases), Yunlin County (510 cases), Hualien County (429 cases), Nantou County (413 cases), Keelung City (377 cases), Chiayi County (304 cases), Chiayi City (215 cases), Taitung County (204 cases), Jinmen County (130 cases), Penghu County (90 cases), Lianjiang County (15 cases).
