台湾中央流行疫情指揮センターは、本日10月17日、「新たに増えたCOVID-19確診症例は28,847例（うち本土症例28,806例、輸入症例41例）；更に、確診症例中、53例の死亡者が出た」と発表。
指揮センターは、「本日、新たに増えた国内症例28,806例は、5歳未満から90代の男性13,399例、女性15,389例、性別調査中18例だ。患者分布は、新台北市（4,540例）、台中市（3,458例）、桃園市（3,359例）、高雄市（3,178例）、台北市（2,836例）、台南市（2,289例）、彰化県（1,620例）、屏東県（933例）、新竹県（746例）、雲林県（667例）、苗栗県（658例）、新竹市（589例）、宜蘭県（502例）、嘉義県（490例）、南投県（461例）、基隆市（388例）、花蓮県（378例）、嘉義市（279例）、台東県（192例）、金門県（110例）、澎湖県（108例）、連江県（25例）となる」としている。

The Central Epidemic Command Center announced today (Oct. 17) that there were 28,847 newly confirmed cases of COVID-19 in China, including 28,806 local and 41 imported cases; further, there were 53 deaths.
The command center stated that the new 28806 local cases today are 13399 males and 15389 females, (18 are under investigation of gender), aged between under 5 years old and over 90s; The distribution of cases is New Taipei City (5540 cases), Taichung City (3458 cases), Taoyuan City (3359 cases), Kaohsiung City (3178 cases), Taipei City (2836 cases), Tainan City (2289 cases), Changhua County (1620 cases), Pingtung County (933 cases), Hsinchu County (746 cases), Yunlin County (667 cases), Miaoli County (658 cases), Hsinchu City (589 cases), Yilan County (502 cases), Chiayi County (490 cases), Nantou County (461 cases), Keelung City (388 cases), Hualien County (378 cases), Chiayi City (279 cases), Taitung County (192 cases), Jinmen County (110 cases), Penghu County (108 cases), Lianjiang County (25 cases).
