台湾中央流行疫情指揮センターは、本日9月28日、「新たに増えたCOVID-19確診症例は48,613例（うち本土症例48,421例、輸入症例192例）；更に、確診症例中、38例の死亡者が出た」と発表。
指揮センターは、「本日、新たに増えた国内症例48,421例は、5歳未満から90代の男性22,323例、女性26,074例、性別調査中24例だ。患者分布は、新台北市（10,203例）、台中市（6,238例）、桃園市（5,470例）、台北市（5,437例）、高雄市（4,380例）、台南市（2,947例）、彰化県（2,298例）、新竹県（1,372例）、屏東県（1,224例）、新竹市（1,223例）、苗栗県（1,141例）、雲林県（1,060例）、宜蘭県（1,056例）、南投県（952例）、基隆市（867例）、嘉義県（851例）、花蓮県（589例）、嘉義市（463例）、台東県（338例）、金門県（163例）、澎湖県（138例）、連江県（11例）となる」としている。
指揮センターは、「本日新たに増えた死亡例38例は本土症例で、30代から90代の男性24人、女性14人となる。全員が重症患者であり、33例が慢性疾患を有していた。26例は三回のワクチン未完了（68％）

The Central Epidemic Command Center announced today (Sep 28) that there were 48,613 newly confirmed cases of COVID-19 in China, including 48,421 local and 192 imported cases; further, there were 38 deaths.
The command center stated that the new 48421 local cases today are 22323 males and 26074 females, (24 are under investigation of gender), aged between under 5 years old and over 90s; The distribution of cases is New Taipei City (10203 cases), Taichung City (6238 cases), Taoyuan City (5470 cases), Taipei City (5437 cases), Kaohsiung City (4380 cases), Tainan City (2947 cases), Changhua County (2298 cases), Hsinchu County (1372 cases), Pingtung County (1224 cases), Hsinchu City (1223 cases), Miaoli County (1141 cases), Yunlin County (1060 cases), Yilan County (1056 cases), Nantou County (952 cases), Keelung City (867 cases), Chiayi County (851 cases), Hualien County (589 cases), Chiayi City (463 cases), Taitung County (338 cases), Jinmen County (163 cases), Penghu County (138 cases), Lianjiang County (11 cases).
