台湾中央流行疫情指揮センターは、本日6月16日、「新たに増えたCOVID-19確診症例は63,221例（うち本土症例63,170例、輸入症例51例）；更に、確診症例中、168例の死亡者が出た」と発表。
指揮センターは、「本日、新たに増えた国内症例63170例は、5歳未満から90歳以上の男性29845例、女性33301例、性別調査中24例だ。患者分布は、台中市（9523例）、高雄市（9316例）、新台北市（7440例）、台南市（6163例）、彰化県（5185例）、桃園市（5066例）、台北市（4025例）、屏東県（3032例）、雲林県（1606例）、苗栗県（1605例）、新竹県（1462例）、南投県（1458例）、嘉義県（1323例）、新竹市（1245例）、宜蘭県（1187例）、花蓮県（888例）、基隆市（787例）、嘉義市（769例）、台東県（673例）、澎湖県（262例）、金門県（141例）、連江県（14例）；関連の調査が進行中である」としている。
指揮センターは、「本日新たに増えた死亡例168例は、本土症例で、10代から90歳以上の男性93人、女性75人となる。全員が重症患者で159例には慢性疾患があり、113例は三回のワクチン未接種（67％）

The Central Epidemic Command Center announced today (June 16) that there were 63,221 newly confirmed cases of COVID-19 in China, including 63,170 local and 51 imported cases; further, there were 168 deaths.
The command center stated that the new 63170 local cases today are 29845 males and 33301 females, (24 are under investigation of gender), aged between under 5 years old and over 90s. The distribution of cases is Taichung City (9523 cases), Kaohsiung City (9316 cases), New Taipei City (7440 cases), Tainan City (6163 cases), Changhua County (5185 cases), Taoyuan City (5066 cases), Taipei City (4025 cases), Pingtung County (3032 cases), Yunlin County (1606 cases), Miaoli County (1605 cases), Hsinchu County (1462 cases), Nantou County (1458 cases), Chiayi County (1323 cases), Hsinchu City (1245 cases), Yilan County (1187 cases), Hualien County (888 cases), Keelung City (787 cases), Chiayi City (769 cases), Taitung County (673 cases), Penghu County (262 cases), Jinmen County (141 cases), Lianjiang County (14 cases).
