中央流行疫情指揮センターは、「本5月23日、台湾では新たにCOVID-19確診症例が290例増えたが、それぞれ本土症例287例及び、輸入症例3例（第4023号、4027号、4028号）となり、本土症例170例が先週各曜日の患者数に修正反映された。 確診症例中、新たに6例（第1912号、2384号、2483号、2986号、3304号、3417号）が死亡した」と発表した。
指揮センターは、「本日、新たに国内症例287例が見つかったが、5歳から90代までの男性138人、女性149人で、発病日/検査日については、2021年5月6日～5月22日であった： 患者分布をみると、新北市が142例と最多だが、うち板橋区で32例が最多だ。これに、台北市の77例（最多は萬華区の38例）が続き、桃園市23例、屏東県、南投県各8例、宜蘭県6例、基隆市、台中市及び彰化県各5例、台南市2例、花蓮県、嘉義市、嘉義県、新竹県、新竹市、雲林県各1例となっている。
修正され各曜日に追加された170人の内訳は、5歳から80代までの男性84人、女性86人で、発病日/検査日については、2021年4月25日～5月22日であった： 患者分布をみると、台北市が88例と最多だが、うち萬華区が48例で最多となっており、次いで、新北市の73例（板橋区で最多の17例）、彰化県5例、宜蘭県、新竹市及び雲林県各1例となっている。これら上述患者中、萬華活動歴関連161例、茶芸館関連25例、某社会団体関連5例、果物屋台商人関連11例、その他感染源が既に判明したもの119例、関連が不明なもの70例、感染源調査中66例となっている。 関連の調査は今なお進められている。」と発表した。

The Central Epidemic Command Center announced May 23 that there are 290 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in China today, 287 local cases and 3 overseas immigration cases (Case 4023, Case 4227, Case 4228). Further, 170 local cases were corrected and returned to cases on each day of last week. There were 6 new deaths among the confirmed cases (Case 1912, Case 2384, Case 2483, Case 2986, Case 3304, Case 3417).
The command center said, the 287 newly-added local cases today are 138 males and 149 females, aged between 5 and in their 80s, and the date of onset/checking date is between May 6 and May 22, 2021; Among the 287 newly added cases, the distribution of the above-mentioned cases is 142 in New Taipei City with the largest number and 32 in Banqiao District. Followed by 77 cases in Taipei City, of which 38 cases in Wanhua District is the most, 23 cases in Taoyuan City, 8 cases each in PIngdong County and Nantou County each, 6 cases Yilan County, 5 each in Keelung City, Taizhong City, Changhua County, 2 in Tainan City, 1 each in Hualian County, Jiayi City, Jiayi County, Xinzhu County, Xinzhu City, Yunlin County.
Among the 170 corrected regression cases,
there were 84 males and 86 females. The age ranged from under 5 to in their 80s. The date of onset/checking date ranged from April 25 to May 22: The distribution of the above-mentioned cases is 88 in Taipei City with the largest number and 48 in Wanhua District. Followed by 73 cases in New Taipi City (Banqiao’s 17 is the most there), 6 in Changhua County, 1 each in Yilan Couny, Xinzhu City and Yunlin County. 指揮中心表示，今日新增之287例本土病例，為138例男性、149例女性，年齡介於未滿5歲至90多歲，發病日介於今(2021)年5月6日至5月22日；個案分布以新北市142例最多(以板橋區32例為多)，其次為臺北市77例(以萬華區38例為多)，桃園市23例，屏東縣、南投縣各8例，宜蘭縣6例，基隆市、臺中市及彰化縣各5例，臺南市2例，花蓮縣、嘉義市、嘉義縣、新竹縣、新竹市、雲林縣各1例。校正回歸個案170例中，為84例男性、86例女性，年齡介於未滿5歲至80多歲，發病日介於4月25日至5月22日；個案分布以臺北市88例最多(以萬華區48例為多)，其次為新北市73例(以板橋區17例為多)，彰化縣6例，宜蘭縣、新竹市及雲林縣各1例。綜上所有個案，其中萬華活動史相關161例、茶藝館相關25例、某社團相關5例、某水果商相關11例、其他已知感染源119例、關聯不明70例、疫調中66例。相關疫情調查持續進行中。
