台湾中央流行疫情指揮センターは、本日9月16日、「新たに増えたCOVID-19確診症例は41,670例（うち本土症例41,430例、輸入症例240例）；更に、確診症例中、46例の死亡者が出た」と発表。
指揮センターは、「本日、新たに増えた国内症例41,430例は、5歳未満から90代の男性19,028例、女性22,389例、性別調査中13例だ。患者分布は、新台北市（8,942例）、台中市（5,294例）、台北市（4,904例）、桃園市（4,455例）、高雄市（3,396例）、台南市（2,500例）、彰化県（1,892例）、新竹県（1,251例）、屏東県（1,121例）、苗栗県（1,008例）、新竹市（984例）、宜蘭県（971例）、雲林県（894例）、基隆市（808例）、南投県（748例）、花蓮県（660例）、嘉義県（582例）、嘉義市（371例）、台東県（326例）、金門県（163例）、澎湖県（142例）、連江県（18例）となる」としている。
指揮センターは、「本日新たに増えた死亡例46例は本土症例で、30代から90代の男性28人、女性18人となる。全員が重症患者であり、慢性疾患を有していた。27例は三回のワクチン未完了（59％）であった。

The Central Epidemic Command Center announced today (Sep 16) that there were 41,670 newly confirmed cases of COVID-19 in China, including 41,430 local and 240 imported cases; further, there were 46 deaths.
The command center stated that the new 41430 local cases today are 19028 males and 22389 females, (13 are under investigation of gender), aged between under 5 years old and over 90s; The distribution of cases is New Taipei City (8942 cases), Taichung City (5294 cases), Taipei City (4904 cases), Taoyuan City (4455 cases), Kaohsiung City (3396 cases), Tainan City (2500 cases), Changhua County (1892 cases), Hsinchu County (1251 cases), Pingtung County (1121 cases), Miaoli County (1008 cases), Hsinchu City (984 cases), Yilan County (971 cases), Yunlin County (894 cases), Keelung City (808 cases), Nantou County (748 cases), Hualien County (660 cases), Chiayi County (582 cases), Chiayi City (371 cases), Taitung County (326 cases), Jinmen County (163 cases), Penghu County (142 cases), Lianjiang County (18 cases).
