疾病管制署（以下、疾管署）は本日（6月04日）、「国内におけるCOVID-19は、先週（5月28日～6月03日）新たに263例（合併症含む）が確認され、前週（5月21日～5月27日）の241例より上昇、これまでの合併症症例のうち65歳以上の高齢者が79％を占めている；更に、先週新たに増えた死者数は26例となり、前週の死者23例よりやや上昇、死者中では65歳以上の高齢者が90％を占めており、感染拡大のリスクは依然として存在している」と発表した。
