8月2日午後5時、中国動物衛生及び疫学センターよるアフリカ豚コレラの疑い診断を経て、遼寧省瀋陽市瀋北新区の瀋北街道（新都市）五五社区で発生したアウトブレイクが、8月3日午前11時にアフリカ豚コレラと確診された。 このアウトブレイク発生後、農業農村部、遼寧省党委員会や省政府が高度にこれを重視し、直ちに重大動物伝染病（II級）を起動し、専門家グループを迅速に組織し感染地区に派遣、防疫活動を指導し、感染源、感染地区と脅威を受ける地区を定め、緊急で現地が根絶処理にあたり各項目実施を確実に行うように指導した。
瀋陽市や瀋北新区は『アフリカ豚コレラ緊急対応プラン』の要求に基づき、感染源や感染地区にいるブタの殺処分、消毒及び無害化処理を実施し、脅威を受ける地区にいるブタの抜き取り検査を実施、同時に全面的な疫学調査を実施した。 8月3日15時までに、感染源の913頭のブタ全てが殺処分・無害化され、全面的な消毒がなされている。
現時点、各種の防疫工作は順調に進んでおり、感染の有効な制御がなされている。

8月2日下午17时，经中国动物卫生与流行病学中心诊断，我省沈阳市沈北新区沈北街道（新城子）五五社区发生疑似非洲猪瘟疫情，并于8月3日上午11时确诊。疫情发生后，农业农村部，辽宁省委、省政府高度重视，立即启动重大动物（Ⅱ级）疫情响应，迅速组成专家组赶赴疫区，指导扑疫工作，划定了疫点、疫区和受威胁区，紧急部署、指导当地严格落实各项根除措施。
沈阳市、沈北新区严格按照《非洲猪瘟疫情应急预案》要求，对疫点、疫区存栏生猪进行扑杀、消毒和无害化处理，对受威胁区生猪进行全面采样监测，并全面展开流行病学调查。截至8月3日15时，疫点内913头生猪已经全部扑杀和无害化。消毒工作全面展开。
