疾病管制署（以下CDC）は本日3月05日、台湾で新たにMpoxの感染者1名が確認されたと発表したが、北部在住の30代台湾籍男性であり、昨年4月と5月にMpoxワクチンの2回接種をしていた。2月下旬、体に紅疹や水疱などの症状が現れ、医師の診察を受け検査したところ確定診断された。
CDCは、国際的な流行に関して、「WHOや各国の監視データに基づき、Mpox流行が世界的蔓延が続いている、過去3カ月間、平均800例以上の新規感染者が毎月発生しており、その内訳は南北アメリカで約200例、欧州と西太平洋で100例以上、東南アジアで50例以上となっており；近隣諸国では、日本や韓国、香港、シンガポール、ニュージーランド、オーストラリアでは依然として散発的に症例が発生しており、中国やタイ、ベトナム、インドネシアでは流行が継続中、カンボジアとフィリピンでは新たな流行が出現

The Department of Disease Control (hereinafter referred to as the CDC) announced today (March 5) that there is one new confirmed case of local Mpox in the country. He is a 30-year-old male from northern Taiwan who received 2 doses of Mpox vaccine in April and May last year. In late February, he developed symptoms such as rashes and blisters on his body. After being evaluated by a doctor, he was tested and reported to be diagnosed. 疾病管制署(下稱疾管署)今(5)日公布，國內新增1例本土M痘確定病例，為北部30多歲本國籍男性，去年4、5月曾接種2劑M痘疫苗，2月下旬因身體出現紅疹、水泡等症狀，經醫師評估後採檢通報確診，由於該名個案近期均無出國旅遊史，故研判為本土個案，目前居家自主健康管理中。本案為今年第3例本土M痘病例。疾管署提醒，接種2劑M痘疫苗保護力雖高達九成，但並非100％，仍須注意個人防護。
