疾病管理予防センター（以下CDC）は、「8月22日、台湾で新たにサル痘（Mpox）の症例10例が増えたが、全員台湾籍の男性で、居住県・市は北部（3例）、中部（2例）、南部（5例）、東部（0例）となっており、年齢的には20代～40代となる。 発症日は8月01日～8月15日となっており、発熱やリンパ腺腫大、水疱、膿疱などの症状が相次いで現れ、医師の診察を受けたのちに検査・報告され、8月15日～8月20日の間に確診された。疫学調査の結果、高リスクの接触者計25名がリスト化され、既に健康教育と21日間の自己健康観察を受けている。台湾は2022年6月23日以来、Mpoxを第二類の法廷感染症に指定しているが、8月21日までに累計で290例（本土症例274例、輸入症例16例）が確診されており、うち242
