疾病管理予防センター（以下CDC）は、「7月04日、台湾で新たにサル痘（Mpox）の本土症例23例が増えたが、うち、21例は本土症例、2例は（フィリピン及びベトナムからの）輸入症例であった。居住県・市は北部（15例）、中部（5例）、南部（3例）、東部（0例）となっており、年齢的には10代～40代、発症日は6月19日～6月30日の間で、発熱やリンパ腺腫大、水疱、膿疱などの症状が相次いで現れ、医師の診察を受けたのちに検査・報告され、6月27日～7月03日の間に確診された。疫学調査の結果、高リスクの接触者計45名がリスト化され、既に健康教育と21日間の自己健康観察を受けている。台湾は2022年6月23日以来、Mpoxを第二類の法廷感染症に指定しているが、7月03日までに累計で221例（本土症例206例、輸入症例15例）が確診されており、うち155例は既に回復、6例が入院中、60例が自宅での自主健康
