CDCは、本11月28日、台湾では今年（2023年）、国内ではこれまでに既に22人のパラチフス感染者が確認されているが、これは2014年から2022年の同時期よりも多くなっており、衛生単位は既に流行調査を完了、並びに関連の予防制御措置を開始して、患者と同居或いは飲食を共にした接触者全員の検査を実施するも、検査結果は全員陰性だったと発表。定期的な流行調査データによると、何人かの患者には、焼きカキや生カキ、生エビ、刺身、生ホタテなどの生または加熱が不十分なものを食べていた。CDCは、すでに特別調査をスタートさせており、全ゲノム配列解析と株の比較を実施するとともに、考えられる感染源を明確化するために、現地確診症例の食事歴や曝露歴など、より詳細な流行調査を実施している。

Taiwan has discovered 22 confirmed local cases of paratyphoid fever this year (2023), which is higher than the same period from 2014 to 2022, the health unit has completed the investigation of the epidemic and initiated relevant prevention and control measures.
