疾病管制署（以下、疾管署）は本日（7月9日）、「先週（7月02日～7月8日）新たに987例（合併症）が確認され、前週（6月25日～7月1日）の931例（宮本注、先週は932例と発表していました）より上昇、これまでの合併症症例のうち65歳以上の高齢者が79％を占めている；更に、先週新たに増えた死者数は99例となり、前週の死者64例（先週は65例と発表していました）より上昇、死者中では65歳以上の高齢者が90％を占めている」と発表した。

The Department of Disease Control and Prevention (hereinafter referred to as the CDC) stated today (Jul. 9) that the domestic COVID-19 epidemic last week (7/2-7/8) added 987 confirmed local cases (complications) of COVID-19, which showed an increase compared to the 931 new cases in the previous week (6/25-7/1). Elderly people over the age of 65 accounted for 79% of the cumulative complications; Further, there were 99 new deaths last week, a decrease from the 40 new deaths in the previous week.
