疾病管理予防センター（以下CDC）は、「6月07日、台湾初の小児サル痘（Mpox）症例が確認されたと発表。患者は、以前に発表されたサル痘確診症例の同居家人で、北部在住の4歳男児だが、6月1日夕方から、手足や胴体部分に発熱や目の不快感、発疹、水疱などの症状が現れた。 6月5日、症状が改善しないために病院を受診し、医師の診断・検査を受け、6月7日に確定症例として診断されたが、軽症であり現在は入院治療中だ。先に診断されていた患者は発症後も今回の患者と日常生活での接触があり、家庭内感染

The patient is a family member of a previously announced monkeypox confirmed case. He is a 4-year-old boy from the north.
