10月25日、農業農村部 新聞弁公室は、貴州省畢節市でアフリカ豚コレラ （宮本注： 以下『ASF』）が 検出されたと発表した。
10月25日11時、農業農村部は、貴州省動物疾病予防管理センターが検査に出したサンプルが中国動物衛生疫学センター （国家外来動物疾病研究センター）により、ASFであると確定診断されたとの中国動物疾病予防管理センター報告を受け取った。
陽性となったサンプルは、貴州省畢節市赫章県にある養豚場からのもので、
当該養豚場では、飼育されていた10頭のうち、8頭が発症し、8頭が病死している。

On October 25, 2018, the Information Office of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs announced that an African Swine Fever epidemic took place at Bijie City in Guizhou Province.
At 11 o’clock on October 25, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs received a report from the China Animal Disease Prevention and Control Center mentioning that the samples submitted by the Guizhou Provincial Center for Animal Disease Control and Prevention were diagnosed as African swine fever by the China Center for Animal Health and Epidemiology (National Center for Animal Disease Research).
The samples turned out to be positive for ASF were from a pig farmer at Hezhang County of Bijie City in Guizhou Province.
The farmer had 10 live pigs of which 8 pigs got sick and 8 died.
Immediately after the outbreak, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs sent a supervising team to the site. 农业农村部新闻办公室10月25日发布，贵州省毕节市发生生猪非洲猪瘟疫情。
10月25日11时，农业农村部 接到中国动物疫病预防控制中心报告， 贵州省动物疫病预防控制中心送检样品经中国动物卫生与流行病学中心 （国家外来动物疫病研究中心）确诊为 非洲猪瘟。 阳性样品来自 贵州省毕节市赫章县一养殖户，该养殖户存栏生猪10头、发病8头、死亡8头。
