台湾中央流行疫情指揮センターは、「8月05日、新たにCOVID-19確診症例が12例増えたが、それぞれ、本土症例10例、輸入症例2例となっている；更に、確診症例中、新たに3例が死亡した」と発表した。
指揮センターは、「本日、新たに国内症例10例が増えた（うち7例は在宅隔中或いは隔離期間満了検査で陽性となった人である：（宮本注：つまり、2週間或いは3週間を超えて感染が確認された事例が斯くも多く存在しているという情報を台湾政府が認めている！）が、10歳未満から60代までの男性5人、女性5人であり、2021年8月04日～8月05日の間に発症していた。 患者分布は、新北市が4例と最多で、次いで台北市の3例、嘉義県2例、彰化県の1例となっている； そのうち、8例の感染源は既に判明、1例は関連不明、1例が疫学調査中となっているが、関連調査は今なお進められている」と発表した。
指揮センターは、「本日新たに死亡例3例が増えたが、いずれもワクチン接種を受けていない70代の男性2例、女性1例であるが5月18日～6月4日の間に発症、5月21日～ 6月6日の間に確定診断され、5月28日～ 7月21日の間に死亡していた。詳細は『☞20210806E 台湾新規増加死者3名のリスト』を参照されたい」と発表。
指揮センターは、「最近隔離を解除された確診症例については、5月11日～ 8月04日迄に発表された14,543例中、既に13,018人が隔離を解除されており、確診患者総数の89.5％が隔離解除されたことになる」と指摘する。

The Central Epidemic Command Center announced on Aug. 06 that there were 12 newly confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Taiwan consisting of 10 local cases and 2 imported cases from abroad. There were 3 new deaths among the confirmed cases.
The command center said, the newly added 10 local cases (of which 7 cases were those who tested positive during home quarantine/isolation or after the expiry date of isolation) today are 5 males and 5 females, aged under 10 years old and in their 60s, with onset dates between Aug 04 and August 05, 2021. The distribution of cases is 4 cases in New Taipei City, followed by 3 case in Taipei City, 2 cases in Jiayi County, and 1 case in Changhua County; Out of 10 local cases, 8 cases are known their sources of infection, 1 case’s relation is unknown, 1 case is under investigation. Related epidemic investigations are ongoing.
The command center explained that there were 3 new deaths today, 2 males and 1 female, both in their 70s and not vaccinated against COVID-19. The onset date is between May 18 and June 4, the diagnosis date is between May 21 and June 6, and the death date is between May 28 and July 21; the details are as attached to the press release.
The command center pointed out that as for the recently released diagnosed cases from isolation, 13,018 people have been released from quarantine, among 14,543 confirmed cases announced from May 11 to August 04. The number of people released from quarantine has reached 89.5% of the confirmed cases.
The command center explained that there are two new cases of immigration from abroad today. Case 15868 is an American male in his 20s. He came to work in Taiwan from the United States on August 4 holding a negative test report

中央流行疫情指揮中心今(6)日公布國內新增12例COVID-19確定病例，分別為10例本土及2例境外移入；另確診個案中新增3例死亡。
指揮中心表示，今日新增之10例本土病例(其中7例為居家隔離期間或期滿檢驗陽性者)，為5例男性、5例女性，年齡介於未滿10歲至60多歲，發病日介於今(2021)年8月4日至8月5日。個案分布以新北市4例為最多，其次為臺北市3例、嘉義縣2例、彰化縣1例；其中8例為已知感染源、1例關聯不明、1例疫調中，將持續進行疫情調查，以釐清感染源。
指揮中心說明，今日新增3例死亡個案，為2例男性、1例女性，年齡均為70多歲且未接種COVID-19疫苗，發病日介於5月18日至6月4日，確診日介於5月21日至6月6日，死亡日介於5月28日至7月21日；詳如新聞稿附件。
