台湾中央流行疫情指揮センターは、本日01月20日、「新たに増えたCOVID-19確診症例は18,218例（うち本土症例17,869例、輸入症例349例）；更に、確診症例中、61例の死亡者が出た」と発表。
指揮センターは、「本日、新たに増えた国内症例17,869例は、5歳未満から90代以上の男性8,153例、女性9,705例、性別調査中11例となる。患者分布は、新台北市（3,712例）、高雄市（2,179例）、桃園市（2,121例）、台北市（1,976例）、台中市（1,893例）、台南市（1,529例）、彰化県（734例）、新竹県（505例）、新竹市（499例）、苗栗県（414例）、屏東県（356例）、基隆市（335例）、雲林県（311例）、宜蘭県（293例）、南投県（252例）、花蓮県（205例）、嘉義県（193例）、嘉義市（141例）、台東県（100例）、金門県（65例）、澎湖県（40例）、連江県（16例）となる」としている。
指揮センターは、「本日新たに増えた死亡例は、本土の61例で、30代から90代以上の男性35人、女性26人となる。全員が重症患者で、58例に慢性疾患が有り、41例（71％）は三回以上のワクチン未完了者

The Central Epidemic Command Center announced today (Jan. 20) that there were 18,218 newly confirmed cases of COVID-19 in China, including 17,869 local and 349 imported cases; further, there were 61 deaths.

指揮中心表示，今日新增之17,869例本土病例，為8,153例男性、9,705例女性、11例調查中，年齡介於未滿5歲至90多歲以上，個案分布為新北市(3,712例)，高雄市(2,179例)，桃園市(2,121例)，臺北市(1,976例)，臺中市(1,893例)，臺南市(1,529例)，彰化縣(734例)，新竹縣(505例)，新竹市(499例)，苗栗縣(414例)，屏東縣(356例)，基隆市(335例)，雲林縣(311例)，宜蘭縣(293例)，南投縣(252例)，花蓮縣(205例)，嘉義縣(193例)，嘉義市(141例)，臺東縣(100例)，金門縣(65例)，澎湖縣(40例)，連江縣(16例)。
