疾病管理予防センター（以下CDC）は、「7月11日、台湾で新たにサル痘（Mpox）の本土症例11例が増えたが、11例全員が台湾籍の男性本土症例であった。居住県・市は北部（7例）、中部（2例）、南部（2例）、東部（0例）となっており、年齢的には20代～50代、発症日は6月13日～7月03日の間で、発熱やリンパ腺腫大、水疱、膿疱などの症状が相次いで現れ、医師の診察を受けたのちに検査・報告され、7月04日～7月08日の間に確診された。疫学調査の結果、高リスクの接触者計27名がリスト化され、既に健康教育と21日間の自己健康観察を受けている。台湾は2022年6月23日以来、Mpoxを第二類の法廷感染症に指定しているが、7月10日までに累計で232例（本土症例217例、輸入症例15例）が確診されており、うち167例は既に回復、6例が入院中、59例が自宅での自主健康管理中だ」と指摘している。
