疾病管制署（以下CDC）は本日（3月19日）、今年（2024年）台湾初の流行性脳脊髄膜炎の本土症例が確定診断されたと発表したが、患者は台湾北部の4歳女児で、海外への渡航歴はなく、今年（2024年）3月上旬に咳や鼻づまりなどの呼吸器症状が現れ、1週間後には咳が悪化するとともに相次いで発熱や嘔吐、全身の脱力感などの症状が現れ、治療のために何度かクリニックに通うも改善が見られず、3月13日、手足に紫色の斑点ができたため病院を受診し、医師が診断した結果、集中治療室に入り、入院当日にけいれんや意識の変化が現れ、病院は3月15日に通報するとともに流行性脳脊髄膜炎であると診断、患者の容体は現在安定しており、小児科病棟に移っている。衛生単位も疫学調査を実施し、3月16日まで、同居、同居の家族や幼稚園の接触者計19人が特定されている。流行性脳脊髄膜炎を疑う症状のある人はおらず、

疾病管制署(下稱疾管署)今(19)日公布今(2024)年國內首例本土流行性腦脊髓膜炎確定病例，為北部4歲女童，無國外旅遊史，於今(2024)年3月上旬出現咳嗽、鼻塞等呼吸道症狀，一週後咳嗽加劇，並陸續出現發燒、嘔吐、全身無力等症狀，多次至診所就醫未改善，13日因四肢出現紫斑至醫院就醫，經醫師評估收住加護病房，住院當日並出現痙攣及意識改變情形，醫院於15日通報並經檢驗確認感染流行性腦脊髓膜炎，目前病況尚穩定，轉入小兒科病房治療中。衛生單位並進行疫情調查，至16日已匡列同住、非同住家人及校園接觸者共19名，均無出現
