11月13日、農業農村部新聞弁公室は、湖北省武穴市でアフリカ豚コレラ （宮本注： 以下『ASF』）が集団発生したと発表した。
11月12日21時、農業農村部は、中国動物衛生疫学センター（国家外来動物疾病研究センター）が、湖北省武穴市で隣接している2養豚場でのASF発生を確定診断したとの中国動物疾病予防管理センターの報告を受け取った（湖北省ではこれが2件目）。
これら2箇所の養豚場ではブタ147頭が飼育されていたが、7頭が発症、6頭が病死している。
ASF発生後、農業農村部は直ちに監督指導グループを現地に派遣した。 現地は既に要求に基づき緊急対応メカニズムを起動し、封鎖や殺処分、無害化処理、消毒などの措置を講じており、病死ブタと殺処分されたブタ全ての無害化処理を採っている。 同時に、 全てのブタ及びその製品の封鎖地区への出入りが禁止

On November 11, 2018, the Information Office of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs announced that African Swine Fever epidemic occurred at Wuxue City in Hubei Province.
At 21 o’clock on November 12, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs received reports from the China Animal Disease Prevention and Control Center mentioning that Animal Health and Epidemiology (National Institute of Animal Diseases and Diseases) diagnosed an ASF incident occurred at two (2) adjacent pig farms located at Wuxue City of Hubei Province (Miyamoto’s note: This is the second case in Hubei).
This farmer had 147 live pigs of which 7 pigs got sick and 6 died.
