疾病管制署（以下、疾管署）は本日（7月16日）、「先週（7月09日～7月15日）新たに898例（合併症）が確認され、前週（7月02日～7月8日）の987例より下降、これまでの合併症症例のうち65歳以上の高齢者が79％を占めている；更に、先週新たに増えた死者数は104例となり、前週の死者99例よりやや上昇、死者中では65歳以上の高齢者が90％を占めている」と発表した。
