The Central Epidemic Command Center announced today (Dec. 25) that there were 17,729 newly confirmed cases of COVID-19 in China, including 17,650 local and 79 imported cases; further, there were 24 deaths.
The command center stated that the new 17650 local cases today are 8034 males and 9599 females, (17 are under investigation of gender), aged between under 5 years old and over 90s; The distribution of cases is as follows: New Taipei City (3510 cases), Taichung City (2199 cases), Taipei City (2045 cases), Taoyuan City (1970 cases), Kaohsiung City (1856 cases), Tainan City (1384 cases), Changhua County (752 cases), Hsinchu City (646 cases), Hsinchu County (603 cases), Pingtung County (407 cases), Miaoli County (393 cases), Yunlin County (347 cases), Yilan County (264 cases), Keelung City (253 cases), Nantou County (244 cases), Chiayi County (244 cases), Chiayi City (162 cases), Hualien County (119 cases), Taitung County (105 cases), Jinmen County (88 cases), Penghu County (54 cases), Lianjiang County (5 cases).
