7月12日、疾病管制署（以下疾管署）は、「今年（2024年）台湾初のジカウイルス感染輸入症例が確認されたが、患者は、台湾北部の20代外国籍男性で、6月27日にフィリピンから到着時に発熱や筋肉痛などの症状があったため桃園国際空港検疫所で検査を受けた後、7月9日に二度目の検査を受け、ジカウイルス感染症と診断された。現在、患者及び同居者はいずれも無症状だ；地方の衛生単位は、既に患者の活動地の環境繁殖源と従業員の健康観察を実施するとともに、患者、接触者に対する衛生教育を実施しており、8月2日まで社区で衛生監察が続けられることになっている」と発表した。

The Department of Disease Control (hereinafter referred to as the CDC) announced today (July 12) that Taiwan confirmed this year (2024)’s first case of Zika virus infection imported from abroad, the patient is a foreign male in his 20s from the north. He was tested at the Taoyuan Airport Quarantine Station due to fever, muscle aches and other symptoms when he arrived from the Philippines on June 27. After a second test on July 9, he was diagnosed with Zika. Viral infection. The current case and those living with him are asymptomatic; Local health units have carried out environmental breeding source removal and employee health monitoring for the case’s activity area, and provided health education to the case and contacts. Community monitoring will continue until August 2.

首例境外移入茲卡病毒感染症確定病例，請民眾前往流行地區做好防蚊措施

疾病管制署(下稱疾管署)今(12)日公布國內今(2024)年首例境外移入茲卡病毒感染症確定病例，為北部20多歲外國籍男性，6月27日自菲律賓入境時因發燒、肌肉酸痛等症狀由桃園機場檢疫站採檢送驗，後經7月9日二次採檢，確診為茲卡病毒感染症。目前個案及同住者均無症狀；地方衛生單位已針對個案活動地進行環境孳生源清除及員工健康監測，並給予個案及接觸者衛教，後續將持續進行社區監測至8月2日。
疾管署說明，我國自2016年迄今共確診30例茲卡病毒感染症病例，均為境外移入，感染地多為東南亞國
