疾病予防管理センター（以下CDC）は、10月11日、「新型コロナウイルス感染症（COVID-19）の国際的流行の高まりを考慮すると、台湾での流行は依然として続いており、わずかに増加傾向にある。 XBBが主流のウイルス株となっているが、主流ウイルス株に対する国民の免疫保護力を強化するために、本日からモデルナ製のXBB.1.5対応ワクチンの第3段階接種が始まった。生後6か月以上の人は、早期の保護力獲得のため、ワクチン接種を急ぎ、ウイルスによる健康への脅威を減少させることが求められる」と発表した。
