疾病予防管理センター（以下CDC）は、10月17日、台湾が3月20日に新制度を導入後、直近7日間（10月10日～ 10月16日）の本土コロナ確診症例（合併症）の日々平均は、本土症例43例となり、前週の7日間（10月03日～ 10月09日）の日々39例から上昇した。 直近7日間（10月10日～ 10月16日）の日々平均死者数は6例となったが前の週（10月03日～ 10月09日）の日々平均死者数3例から上昇している。最近の国内の流行状況は低位の上昇傾向にあり、今後の流行状況の変化には引き続き注意が必要だとしている。

October 17, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (hereinafter referred to as the CDC) announced today, that since the implementation of the new system on March 20, in Taiwan, an average of 43 local confirmed cases (complications) of COVID-19 were added every day in the past 7 days (October 10 to October 16), is slightly higher than the daily average of 39 new cases in the previous seven days (October 03 to October 09). 疾病管制署(下稱疾管署)今(17)日公布國內自3/20新制實施後，近7日(10/10-10/16)每日平均新增43例COVID-19本土確定病例(併發症)，較前7日(10/3-10/9)之每日平均新增39例上升。近7日(10/10-10/16)平均每日新增6例死亡，較前7日(10/3-10/9)之每日死亡平均數3例上升。近期國內疫情自低點緩升，須持續監測。
