台湾中央流行疫情指揮センターは、「8月02日、新たにCOVID-19確診症例が14例増えたが、それぞれ、本土症例12例、輸入症例2例となっている；更に、確診症例中、新たに0例が死亡した」と発表した。
指揮センターは、「本日、新たに国内症例12例が増えた（うち6例は在宅隔中或いは隔離期間満了検査で陽性となった人である：（宮本注：つまり、2週間或いは3週間を超えて感染が確認された事例が斯くも多く存在しているという情報を台湾政府が認めている！）が、10代から70代までの男性10人、女性2人であり、2021年7月29日～7月31日の間に発症していた。 患者分布は、桃園市が5例と最多で、次いで新北市の3例、台北市の2例、基隆市及び高雄市の各1例となっている； そのうち、9例の感染源は既に判明、3例は関連不明、0例が疫学調査中となっているが、関連調査は今なお進められている」と発表した。
指揮センターは、「最近隔離を解除された確診症例については、5月11日～ 7月31日迄に発表された14,475例中、既に12,884人が隔離を解除されており、確診患者総数の89.0％が隔離解除されたことになる」と指摘する。

The Central Epidemic Command Center announced on Aug. 02 that there were 14 newly confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Taiwan consisting of 12 local cases and 2 imported cases from abroad. There was 0 new death among the confirmed cases.
The command center said, the newly added 12 local cases (of which 6 cases were those who tested positive during home quarantine/isolation or after the expiry date of isolation) today are 10 males and 2 females, aged between in their 10s and 70s, with onset dates between July 29 and July 31, 2021. The distribution of cases is 5 cases in Taoyuan City, followed by 3 cases in New Taipei City, 2 cases in Taipei City, 1 case each in Keelung City and Kaohsiung City; Out of 12 local cases, 9 cases are known their sources of infection, 3 case’s relation is unknown, 0 case is under investigation. Related epidemic investigations are ongoing.
The command center pointed out that as for the recently released diagnosed cases from isolation, 12,884 people have been released from quarantine, among 14,475 confirmed cases announced from May 11 to July 30. The number of people released from quarantine has reached 89.0% of the confirmed cases.

中央流行疫情指揮中心今(2)日公布國內新增14例COVID-19確定病例，分別為12例本土及2例境外移入；另確診個案中無新增死亡。
指揮中心表示，今日新增之12例本土病例(其中6例為居家隔離期間或期滿檢驗陽性者)，為10例男性、2例女性，年齡介於10多歲至70多歲，發病日介於今(2021)年7月29日至7月31日。個案分布以桃園市5例為最多，其次為新北市3例、臺北市2例、基隆市及高雄市各1例。；其中9例為已知感染源、3例關聯不明，將持續進行疫情調查，以釐清感染源。
指揮中心指出，近期確診個案解隔離情形，5月11日至7月31日累計公布14,475位確診個案中，已有12,884人解除隔離，解隔離人數達確診人數89.0%。
