台湾中央流行疫情指揮センターは、8月31日、「新たにCOVID-19確診症例が4例増えたが、それぞれ、本土症例3例、輸入症例1例となっている；更に、確診症例中、新たに1例が死亡した」と発表した。
指揮センターは、「本日、新たに国内症例3例（うち3例は在宅隔中に陽性となった人である）が増えたが、30代から60代の男性2例、女性1例。 発症日については、1例が2021年8月16日、残り2例は2021年8月30日； 患者分布は新台北市2例、台北市1例となっている。 そのうち、0例の感染源は既に判明、2例は関連不明、1例が疫学調査中となっているが、関連調査は今なお進められている」と発表した。
指揮センターは、「本日新たに増えた死亡例1例（第16093号）は、台湾籍の60代男性で、8月08日に台湾で確診され、28日に医療用ジェットで帰台後病院で検査治療を受け、8月29日に確診され、8月30日に死亡した」と説明。
指揮センターは、「最近隔離を解除された確診症例については、5月11日～ 8月29日迄に発表された14,784例中、既に13,676人が隔離を解除されており、確診患者総数の92.5％が隔離解除されたことになる」と指摘する。

The Central Epidemic Command Center announced on Aug. 31 that there were 4 newly confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Taiwan consisting of 3 local cases and 1 imported case. There was one (1) new death among the confirmed cases.
The command center said that the 3 new local cases (3 of them were tested positive during home isolation) added today are 2 males and 1 female, aged in their 30s to 60s. One developed ill on August 16, 2021, the rest of 2 cases developed ill on August 30. The distribution of cases is 2 in New Taipei City, 1 in Taipei Cit; Out of 3 local cases, 0 case is known their sources of infection, 2 cases’ relation is unknown, 1 case is under investigation. Related epidemic investigations are ongoing.
The command center explained that one new death case (case 16093) was added today (case 16067), a Tawanese male in his 60s who had been diagnosed on August 8 in Vietnam, returned to Taiwan by medical jet and sent to a hospital for treatment. He got diagnosed on Aug. 29, and passed away on Aug. 30.
The command center pointed out that as for the recently released diagnosed cases from isolation, 13,676 people have been released from quarantine, among 14,784 confirmed cases announced from May 11 to August 29. The number of people released from quarantine has reached 92.5% of the confirmed cases.

中央流行疫情指揮中心今(31)日公布國內新增4例COVID-19確定病例，分別為3例本土及1例境外移入；另確診個案中新增1例死亡。
指揮中心表示，今日新增之3例本土病例(均非居家隔離期間陽性者)，為2例男性、1例女性，年齡介於30多歲至60多歲，其中1例於今(2021)年 8月16日發病，另2例於8月30日發病。個案分布為新北市2例、台北市1例；其中2例關聯不明，1例疫調中，將持續進行疫情調查，以釐清感染源。
指揮中心說明，今日新增1例死亡個案(案16093)，為本國籍60多歲男性，8月8日於越南確診，8月28日搭乘醫療專機返臺後至醫院採檢並治療，8月29日確診，8月30日死亡。
指揮中心指出，近期確診個案解隔離情形，5月11日至8月29日累計公布14,784位確診個案中，已有13,676人解除隔離，解隔離人數達確診人數92.5%。
