台湾中央流行疫情指揮センターは、「8月09日、新たにCOVID-19確診症例が8例増えたが、それぞれ、本土症例4例、輸入症例4例となっている；更に、確診症例中、新たに4例が死亡した」と発表した。
指揮センターは、「本日、新たに国内症例4例が増えた（うち1例は在宅隔中或いは隔離期間満了検査で陽性となった人である：（宮本注：つまり、2週間或いは3週間を超えて感染が確認された事例が斯くも多く存在しているという情報を台湾政府が認めている！）が、30代から50代までの男性4人、女性0人であり、2021年8月7日から8月8日の間に発症していた。 患者分布は、台北市が2例と最多で、次いで新北市と高雄市の各1例となっている； そのうち、1例の感染源は既に判明、3例は関連不明、0例が疫学調査中となっているが、関連調査は今なお進められている」と発表した。
指揮センターは、「本日新たに死亡例4例が増えたが、40代から80代の男性3例、女性1例となっている。 5月29日～7月28日の間に発症、5月31日～ 7月29日の間に確定診断され、8月8日～ 8月8日の間に死亡していた。詳細は『☞20210809E 台湾新規増加死者4名のリスト』を参照されたい」と発表。
指揮センターは、「最近隔離を解除された確診症例については、5月11日～ 8月07日迄に発表された14,576例中、既に13,096人が隔離を解除されており、確診患者総数の89.8％が隔離解除されたことになる」と指摘する。

The Central Epidemic Command Center announced on Aug. 08 that there were 7 newly confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Taiwan consisting of 4 local cases and 3 imported cases from abroad. There were 3 new deaths among the confirmed cases.
The command center said, the newly added 4 local cases (of which 2 cases were those who tested positive during home quarantine/isolation or after the expiry date of isolation) today are 3 males and 1 female, aged in their 20s and 50s, with onset dates between Aug 06 and August 06, 2021. The distribution of cases is 2 cases in Taipei City, followed by 1 case each in New Taipei City and Taoyuan City; Out of 4 local cases, 3 cases are known their sources of infection, 0 case’s relation is unknown, 1 case is under investigation. Related epidemic investigations are ongoing.
The command center explained that there were 3 new deaths today, 2 males and 1 female. The onset date is from May 24 to June 28, the diagnosis date is from May 28 to June 30, and the death date is from July 31 to August 1; details are shown in Annex 1 of the press release.
The command center pointed out that as for the recently released diagnosed cases from isolation, 13,066 people have been released from quarantine, among 14,566 confirmed cases announced from May 11 to August 04. The number of people released from quarantine has reached 89.7% of the confirmed cases.

中央流行疫情指揮中心今(8)日公布國內新增7例COVID-19確定病例，分別為4例本土及3例境外移入；另確診個案中新增3例死亡。
指揮中心表示，今日新增之4例本土病例(其中2例為居家隔離期間或期滿檢驗陽性者)，為3例男性、1例女性，年齡介於20多歲至50多歲，發病日均為今(2021)年8月6日。個案分布為臺北市2例、新北市及桃園市各1例；其中3例為已知感染源、1例疫調中，將持續進行疫情調查，以釐清感染源。
指揮中心說明，今日新增3例死亡個案，為2例男性、1例女性，年齡介於60多歲至80多歲，發病日介5月24日至6月28日，確診日介於5月28日至6月30日，死亡日介於7月31日至8月1日；詳如新聞稿附件1。
