中央流行疫情指揮センターは、本5月16日、台湾では新たにCOVID-19確診症例が207例増えたが、それぞれ本土症例206例、輸入症例1例となったと発表した。
指揮センターは、「本日、新たに206人の国内症例が見つかったが、5歳から80代までの男性90人、女性116人で、発病日/検査日については、2021年4月6日～5月15日であった。 居住地については、台北市97例、新北市89例、彰化県9例、宜蘭県及び新竹県各3例、桃園市及び基隆市各2例、台中市1例となっている」と発表した。
指揮センターは、「うち茶芸館関連は14例、宜蘭遊技場関連1例、某社会団体関連2例、萬華地区での活動関連者19例であるが、関連の調査は継続中だ」としている。
指揮センターは、「本日新たに増えた輸入症例1例は、インド籍の20代女性だが、出国日から72時間以内の陰性証明書を持って5月8日に来台したが、来台後に症状は無く、15日に確定診断された」と指摘している。

The Central Epidemic Command Center announced on May 16 that there were 207 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Taiwan, including 206 local cases and 1 case imported from abroad.
According to the command center, 206 new local cases were added today, there are 90 males and 116 females, aged between under 5 years old and over 80 years old, and the date of onset/check-up date is between April 6 and May 15, today (2021). The counties and cities of cases’ residence are 97 cases in Taipei City, 89 cases in New Taipei City, 9 cases in Changhua County, 3 cases each in Yilan County and Xinzhu County, and 2 case each in Taoyuan City and Keelung City, 1 case in Taizhong City.
According to the command center, there are 14 cases related to tea art museums, 1 case related to Yilan Recreation Center, 2 cases related to a certain society, and 19 cases related to Wanhua activity history. The relevant epidemic investigation is ongoing.
The command center pointed out that one newly added case of overseas immigration today is an Indian woman in her 20s who entered the country from India on May 8 and had a negative test report within 3 days before the flight. She was asymptomatic during her arrival in Taiwan and was diagnosed on the 15th.
The command center stated that there were 6 new cases of COVID-19 in China today, so far, there have been a total of 237,343 notifications related to novel coronavirus pneumonia in China (including 229,781 excluded cases). Among

中央流行疫情指揮中心今(16)日公布國內新增207例COVID-19確定病例，分別為206例本土及1例境外移入。
指揮中心表示，今日新增之206例本土個案為90男116女，年齡介於未滿5歲至80多歲，發病日/採檢日介於今(2021)年4月6日至5月15日，居住縣市分別為臺北市97例、新北市89例、彰化縣9例、宜蘭縣及新竹縣各3例、桃園市及基隆市各2例、臺中市1例。
指揮中心說明，其中茶藝館相關14例、宜蘭遊藝場相關1例、某社團相關2例、萬華活動史相關19例，相關疫情調查持續進行中。
指揮中心指出，今日新增之1例境外移入個案為印度籍20多歲女性， 於5月8日自印度入境 ，持有搭機前3日內檢驗陰性報告，來臺期間無症狀，於15日確診。
